While pistols may not feature heavily on combat footage from the ongoing war in Ukraine, sidearms continue to be a key piece of equipment for many combatants. Germany has provided Ukraine with some 3,500 pistols, from the available visual evidence these have been distributed to some of Ukraine Special Operations Forces units.
